Dance Anthems - Full on Fridays
Gav Edensor has had the pleasure of presenting on Cannock Chase Radio FM since launch when it began as a web-only station. Growing up on the club scene and Djing from the age of 16, Gav has held residencies in many clubs and venues across the midlands as well as promoting successful club nights and events.
Influenced by artists such as Judge Jules, Above and Beyond and Armin, Gav brings a collective mix of Dance Music styles to his weekly ‘Dance Anthems’ show from back in the day classics to the latest floor fillers. Full on Fridays is bigger than ever, with past interviews and mixes from top DJ’s such as Dave Pearce and Jon Pleased Wimmin.
Join Gav and the team on Friday Nights into Saturday mornings as we bring you the soundtrack to the weekend.
We asked Gav some questions to find out a little more about him.
- What made you want to be a presenter?
Music has always been a passion of mine from a very early age. I remember when I was as young as 4 queuing up records on my nana radiogram. Most of my teens were spent buying singles on a Monday as they were released. My passion bloomed when I started DJingand that’s when I got the buzz to share my love of music with everyone else. I’ve never looked back since.
- Why did you choose Cannock Chase Radio?
I’ve been with CCRFM since day one even back when it was an internet radio only station. The team and the listeners make CCRFM what it is today. We are one big happy family unit and the growth of the station in such a short time has been unprecedented and it’s only going to get bigger!
- What genre of music do you specialise?
I bring specialised dance music to CCRFM and the station gives me the freedom to play what I like. No scripts. No playlists. Just good quality dance music you’d expect in a super club if you were out. We bring you the sound of the dance floor directly to you.
- What is your favourite part about being a presenter?
I love the interaction with the listeners. When they get in touch to let you know they are enjoying the music and show makes it all worthwhile.
